The Walking Dead Goes The App Way!

Hell yeah! The dead got an app!

The Walking Dead is all set to come out with a new app that would allow fans to envisage the number of zombie kills in a particular installment.

Isn’t this awesome!

Oh yes it is. A British media company has created this app. The Walking Dead app is, supposedly, meant for the second season. A unique thing about this app is that digital audio watermarking technique is used to create it.

The app is going to be available for iPhone and iPod users. And it is designed in a way that it is like second screen thing for fans which is quite interactive and fun.

Predicting the number of zombie kills is a tough task in itself and I am sure it would take some time to get a hang over the app.

The users after predicting the kills can share the score on popular social networking sites with their buddies. This way they can also compete with each other and maybe have tournaments like zombie kill prediction tournament.

When the episode hit the airwaves, fans can see if their prediction is correct or not. This is such a great marketing tool to promote the show and also maintain the TRP ratings. The app comes with links to a social networking site that means fans can get the latest updates about The Walking Dead.

The channel is very excited about the launch of this companion app and commented that the company they chose is like the best when it comes to companion apps. The app created with digital audio watermarking technology ensures that the content is secure throughout the usage. This is the first time any TV show is getting this kind of technology in its companion app.
