Judges on reality TV competitions have never had a reputation about being the sweetest humanbeings on the planet. Whether it’s Simon Cowell or Gordon Ramsay, their whole fame rests on the fact that they are sharp-tongued and vitriolic.
Christina Aguilera, who is a part of the judge’s panel on The Voice seems to be taking cue from her predecessors, as she is gaining a reputation as the ‘scary, old lady’ on the show. Interestingly though, Aguilera’s vitriol is not just reserved for the contestants on the show, but also extends to the guest performers, who are ideally supposed to be treated like demigods.
The Grammy-award winning singer, seems to think differently, which became evident when Justin Bieber and the famous music band, ‘The Wanted,’ appeared on the show. The singer appeared to be miffed during Bieber’s performance, which we can sort of understand, considering the gaping difference in their league as singers.
Her irritation further intensified when the teen sensation approached her for a hug. While most girls would die for that kind of attention from the popular star, Aguilera was clearly offended, and from that point, there was no pleasing her.
That’s probably why when the music band performed, the negative vibes from Aguilera were palpable. Expressing his thoughts, Tony Parker from the band said that she is a “total bitch”, and that even though she might not be that way in real life, they was really mean to them, and didn’t even bother to look at them or say anything.
Max George admitted that he was actually scared of her, and while comparing her to J-Lo whom they met on the sets of American Idol, said that while the former is hot, Aguilera is “nothing special”.
