‘Weeds’ is a comedy drama series that premiered on Showtime network on August 8, 2005. The series is created by Jenji Kohan. ‘Weeds’ is an interesting drama that focuses on the lives of drug dealers and the excitement and dangers that they have to face in their hard life.
The series revolves around Nancy Botwin, whose life changes with the unexpected death of her husband. In order to maintain the upper middle class standards of living and fulfill the needs of her children, Nancy accepts this new profession of selling pot. She starts selling marijuana in her affluent neighborhood.
Though she takes up this new profession, but she must keep this a secret from her children, Shane and Silas, her inquisitive neighbors, and above all from her brother-in-law, Andy. Besides all that she must handle the suspicious members of PTA, who are wondering how she is managing her lifestyle.
Though Nancy very easily enters this business, but she never was aware of the tough life and the dangers that she will have to face in this business. And finally she gets so engrossed in this other world that it gets difficult for her to get out of it.
