The story of the accidental celebrity of sorts - Tori Vega, and produced by the Nickelodeon Studios, Victorious, has slowly caught the attention of the audiences. The brains behind the show, Dan Schneider had probably caught the wind of teen comedies, when he created Victorious. But the final output is a quite distinctive story, dealing with some issues affecting the teens of today.

The show centers on Tori Vega (Victoria Justice) and her journey through the prestigious institute, Hollywood Arts. Tori’s story begins in season 1 in a rather bizarre fashion, when she gets a chance to replace her overbearing and over ambitious elder sister, Trina, in a school play.

And the rest, as they say, is history. Tori grabs the opportunity by both hands and lands a chance to join the prestigious acting school, Hollywood Arts. Tori has her friend Andre Harris (Leon Thomas III) helping her out with her acting skills.

Season 1 further entails her journey, when she bumps into the Queen Bee at the Hollywood Arts, Jade. She gets off to a bad start with Jade and her posse as Jade, thinks that Tori was flirting with her boyfriend Beck. But Tori has her new best friend Andre Harris helping her to gain a foothold in the school.

Elsewhere, the show also deals with the issues plaguing the modern day youth, as promiscuity becomes the order of the day and sheer jealousy clouds their nubile minds. The effect of the peer pressure on the children is pretty much evident, and things don’t end in the right way for Tori.

Tori’s interactions with other kids at Hollywood Arts like the shy kid Robbie Shapiro, and her relationship with her elder sister Trina, who is also at the school, make the storylines interesting.

All in all, it is a comedy show but it tackles the problems and issues in a way, that is enjoyable for the whole family.
