The Sopranos, is a classical American drama series that premiered on the premium cable network HBO, on 10th January 1999. The Sopranos was created by David Chase, who was also the executive producer, along with many others.

The Sopranos basically revolves around the adventures of the life of the Soprano family. The Soprano family consists of Tony Soprano, a Mafia Capo, who has been managing a deadly criminal enterprise for most of his adult life. Tony has a family that consists of his dutiful wife, but the marriage is not a fruitful one and is almost on the verge of breaking. Besides that he must take care of his rebellious daughter and a morose teenage son.

He must also take care of his mean-spirited mother and his aging Uncle Junior who plans to kill him. His business and his family tensions generally keep him too stressed out, and as a result, he now reluctantly seeks a psychiatrist’s help, after blacking out. Apart from all that he must keep the secret of his not-too-secret mistress and his feelings about his Jennifer Melfi.
