In the history of suspense-laden drama, The Shield is one of the shows that present the corruption, disloyalty and narcissism, which exist in police department. Claudette Wyms’s (CCH Pounder) arrival in the series brings tranquility and morality in the series. She knows how to tread the fine line between morality and justice.

In addition to this, the series has a few fascinating sub stories, which revolve around the main characters. The Shield also shows Via Mackey as he tries hard to bring consistency to his falling relationships, while David’s political desires also put him into trouble.

The inner conflict of Julien (Michael Jace) takes him into a complete different world where he finds struggles between the concept of homosexuality and Bible. The Shield may center on countless themes, but is majorly centered on dissatisfaction of the present system of the country.
