Initially, Marissa had some personal issues which did not allow her to show her inclination towards Ryan. She is one of the most complicated characters of the series, being a victim of liquor, drugs and boys. She doesn’t believe in serious relationships. Her muddled relationship with Volchok, leads her to the death bed.

In the ideally impeccable world of Orange County, everything seems flawless but the smoothly going lives have tints of disloyalty, and crime. The ever-changing lives of the teenagers bring tremendous changes in the society of Newport. It is a drama that every teen can identify with. The O.C. explores the trials and tribulations of teenagers. The sudden introduction of Ryan in the life of Cohens brings gravity, excitement and tension.
