The Mentalist is another police drama series that airs on American television. The Mentalist premiered on the CBS Network on 23rd September 2008. The series is created by Bruno Heller and directed by Chris Long and David Nutter.
The series basically revolves around Patrick Jane, a well known psychic, who is currently working as an independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation. Jane has adopted an indifferent attitude towards life, after the death of his wife and daughter, five years back. They were killed by the serial killer, Red John, while Jane was helping the department to catch him. Jane’s attitude, lack of etiquette and his abilities as a psychic, is what make him infamous in the department. Though, Jane has always been a help to the department, and has solved many high profile cases, but the senior agent Teresa Lisbon, is not very happy of having him in his team. Because of her dislike for him, she does not let go of any opportunity to criticize him for his vanity, theatrics and lack of knowledge about his limits.
