‘The Dead Zone’ is American-Canadian science fiction suspense drama that premiered on USA network on June 16, 2002. The series was on air till September 16, 2007 and was created by Michael Piller and Shawn Piller. The main attraction of the series was Anthony Michael Hall, around whom the series revolved.

The series starts with the end of the perfect life of Johnny Smith, after he meets with an accident, which leaves him in coma. After a gap of almost six years Johnny regains his consciousness, only to realize that things have changed in these past six years and his perfect life is no more perfect. His mother has passed away and the woman he loved has married some one else. He also comes to know the child Sarah is raising with her husband is his and Sarah’s son.

He also finds himself in possession of amazing psychic powers which allows him to see into the lives of anyone he touches. Making positive use of his power he tries to save the lives of many people. He starts his new life by saving the life of a nurse’s daughter, before he leaves the hospital.
