The Big Bang Theory is a sitcom that has physics and some physicists at the core. The four scientists who are at the heart of the show do not have a social life and are marred by an absence of women in their life. Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) are roommates, and just like two of their other friends Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar), devote all their time to small projects. The four are best-friends and spend most of their time together. Their life changes when a girl Penny (Kaley Cuoco) comes to live in the same apartment in which Leonard and Sheldon live. Raj works for Sheldon, and though he keeps a low profile and is shy, has good luck with women. Howard, on the other hand, is self-boisterous and keeps blabbering about his frequent encounters with women whereas, in actuality, he rarely gets a chance to date any girl. Many episodes of The Big Bang Theory revolve around the two love-birds, Penny and Leonard. They have several link-ups and break-ups and their relationship is always on a bumpy ride. The two think they are in love but never confess it to each other, though Leonard has declared that he loves Penny. Even Penny’s family wants them to be together as they think Leonard is perfect for Penny. Though she never accepts her love for Leonard, Leonard knows that she loves him and is always looking forward to establishing a permanent relationship. The Big Bang Theory has continued to draw forward a very different style of comic writing, and the characters are extremely fun to watch. To put it straight, The Big Bang Theory is simply an amazing series. | |||||||||||||||||
