One of the greatest science fiction stories ever told, Star Trek continues to live in the minds of viewers. People who have seen Star trek: The Original Series – that’s where it all started from – have relentlessly followed the works that came out of the Star Trek franchise. TV series, remakes, movies and then re-mastered version of the initial series – Star Trek has seen it all. The three most remarkable explorers (in cinematic history) Captain James T. Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. McCoy have achieved cult status, and refuse to go out of our minds. The trio and their team set out on a mission that is supposed to last for five years. They board the ‘Starship Enterprise’ and instigate themselves, to explore the space that human beings know very little about. The journey that was intended only to carry out a routine medical test on a couple in an archaeological team, stationed at the Planet M-113, turned a lifelong experience when several incidents rocked the ship. One of the most striking incidents that viewers and doctors can never forget was when Dr. Kirk got sliced into two, after a transporter incident left him with a good Dr. Kirk and a bad Dr. Kirk. Occurrences such as these make Star Trek what it is today. Conceived by Gene Roddenberry, the series scaled new heights when the re-mastered version came out in 2001. Although the story arc was the same, it was a much more stylized version of the initial version. The writing and the screenplay of Star Trek has always been concise and has always maintained a generic flow. To visit Star Trek series and see them on our screens is still thrilling and something that fans still do. Star Trek continues to be the most referred-to fiction series, leading to many inspired shows and science fiction stories. The cast of Star Trek was not famous when they first appeared on the show, but all the three actors Leonard Nimoy (Spock), William Shatner (Kirk) and DeForest Kelley (McCoy) became household name and their career scaled new heights post Star Trek, as a proof of Star Trek’s success. | |||||||||||||||
