‘So You Think You Can Dance’ is a reality series based on dancing. The series premiered on Fox Network July 20, 2005. ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ is presented by creators of American Idol and the producers of American Bandstand and The American Music.
The basic premise of the show consists of a dance competition but between skilled contestants. The contestant should be skilled in everything right from ballroom to ballet to salsa, jive, hip-hop to krumping etc. Anyone can be a part of the show but they must have the caliber to dance and compete with others in order to be named as the next best dancer. Each week contestants are given different dance styles and dance partners with whom they perform in order to impress the judges and audiences with their moves. Anyone who wins the competition at the end of the show gets one year contract for Celine Dion’s Vegas show, a brand new car and $ 100k cash.
Once again it’s all in the hands of American people who vote for their favorite dancers and the one with least amount of votes is eliminated.
