The sci-fi adventure drama, Smallville kicked off on 16th October, 2001 and has been created by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough. The show is inspired from the very popular Superman character of the DC comics’ series.

Smallville is actually a town’s name, where some weird things start to happen when Clark Kent as an infant arrives on a spaceship. The show then dwells on the life and times of Clark in his teenage years as he comes to realize his super powers and becomes Superman. Kryptonite, the green crystal endow in him various powers but he still has to cope up with angst of a teenager’s normal life along with concealing the knowledge of his powers from people, especially Lex Luthor, his close friend and a deadly foe when he takes upon the role of superman. The two women very close to his heart are Chloe Sullivan who is his best friend and Lana Lang, his love interest.

Martha and Jonathan Kent are the parents of Clark who had discovered Clark near the space ship and always managed to hide this secret from him. Kara, his cousin and Pete Ross, his friend are also close to him. Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are his other friends.
