Rubicon is a Jason Horwitch creation that used to air on AMC network. Started on August 1, 2010, it came to an end after its first season. It showcases the functioning of an American Policy Institute (API) and a secret society. The show mainly revolves around Will Travers, who is an intelligent analyst at API. While working in the think tank, he realizes that things aren’t the same as they appear and the members, with whom he is working, may be associates of a secret society, which regulates events happening around the globe. James Badge Dale plays the character of Will Travers, who loses his wife and child in the 9/11 attack and the incident leaves a deep impression on his mind. Moreover, the demise of his mentor unveils many things to him. When he investigates the matter of his mentor’s passing away, he gets to know that the death was just a small part of the conspiracy that was being run by a secret society. Travers becomes aware of the fact that this secret society is using people to carry out many events in the world and these people might not be aware that they are being used like puppets. This show is inspired by the movies of the 70s like Three Days of the Condor and The Parallax View etc. The similarity that these movies share with the show is that an innocent person is shown in them and he finds troubles approaching him from all avenues. Later, he discovers that there is some conspiracy and things actually appear different from what they are in reality. The show is about trust, power and the mission to get to the bottom of a murky conspiracy. Kale Ingram is the mystifying supervisor of Will. Margaret "Maggie" Young is his assistant and Miles Fiedler is one of Will’s team members. Will has to identify who out of his acquaintances are truly his friends and who are his foes. | |||||||||||||||||
