The non-animated version, which is the basis of the anime show, has been written and illustrated by Takeshi Konomi. The character of Ryoma Echizen is the main attraction of the amine show, and many a times, it’s been proved that he’s not just a talented tennis maestro, but also a thinking player. Winning is in his blood, and he can go to any limit for it. In several episodes of the show, Ryoma is shown instigating his opponent to get a psychological edge, and surprisingly it used to work in his favor.
