For those of you who yearn for power-packed court-room action, NBC Network’s presentation Outlaw brings much relief. Outlaw is the story of a flamboyant and pleasure-loving, young Supreme Court judge and his ideals of justice. Produced by Conan O’Brian, the show Outlaw depicts the American judicial scenario in a new light. The main protagonist of the story is Judge Cyrus Garza, who will surely change your perception of a Supreme Court judge, when you tune-in to the show. Garza is a playboy and a gambler, yet he believes in going to any extent, in order to get to the truth of something. When he gets appointed for the post of a judge, he finds himself hassled in his very first case. The case is about a convicted man who’s about to lose his life because he has exhausted all the legal options to claim his innocence. Instead of passing an unjust decree, Garza resigns. What happens next forms the real backbone of the plot of Outlaw. Garza starts his own legal firm, which is full of enthusiastic and passionate lawyers like him. A part of his clan is the sensuous investigator Lucinda Pearl (played by Carly Pope), his loyal personal assistant Mereta Stockman (played by Ellen Woglom), an intelligent Yale law school graduate Eddie Franks (played by American actor Jesse Bradford) who trains under him, and his partner Al Druzinsky. It’s fun to watch how this team of capable investigators goes out of their way to reveal mysteries, underlying complicated criminal cases. One of the most remarkable and outstanding performances of the show is given by the lead actor, Jimmy Smits who plays Cyrus Garza. Smits fits into the character of the hedonic and charming Garza with great ease and panache. The first season of the series is comprised of 8 intriguing episodes. It’s extremely engrossing to watch the show as this unconventional band of lawyers discovers the real meaning of justice! | |||||||||||||||||
