The TV series Nikita is an action-packed drama. Inspired by a French movie of the same name and encoring the fabulous success of the 1997 series called ‘La Femme Nikita’, this brand new 2010 version brings to you a totally revamped Nikita.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with this story’s protagonist, Nikita (Maggie Q) is an innocent girl who is falsely convicted for murdering a cop. The young girl is clueless about the complexities of the web she is about to get caught into. While she is behind bars, she is intoxicated with some drugs and it is declared that she committed suicide. The people behind this were the master minds of a non-government spying agency called Division, who thought that Nikita’s immense beauty and her skill to kill would be suitable for an undefeatable assassin.

Division makes Nikita believe that they gave her a second chance at life so that she can serve her nation. They recruit her and give her a trainer, Michael (Shane West), who makes her adept with everything that she needs to learn about being a professional spy and killer. The concept of a spy who turns traitor is very intriguing and spellbinding.

The story of Nikita takes an interesting turn when she realizes that the ideals, she believed to be the fundamentals of Division, are nothing but a sham. She feels thoroughly cheated when her modest and innocent boyfriend is killed by her bosses. She loses faith in the organization and disappears into a hide-out. She now decides to take revenge and unveil the secret of Division in front of the entire world.

While the bosses at Division ask Nikita’s trainer Michael to find and kill her, Nikita, now a very skilled assassin herself, cleverly plans on sending her own spy, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca), as a fresh recruit of Division. Who proves to be the winner in this battle of a teacher and his protégé, is what the show Nikita is all about.
