The story of a bunch of young ladies, who aspire to represent the Gymnastic squad from US, at the Olympic Games, their dreams and hurdles are taken up by the show Make It or Break It. The gymnasts - Payson, Lauren, Kaylie and Emily - train for the Olympics in The Rock, the famous gym of the region. Their story revolves around this training ground and, the problems that impede the ambitions attached to it.

The basis of this series is the consequences of ambitions clashing with the temptations of youth, which dominate the lives of these four girls. The show’s title acquires a deep meaning when initially, the arrival of Emily upsets the other three girls.

The story begins with Payson, Lauren and Kaylie being the frontrunners to make it to the Gymnastics team. The girls groom themselves at The Rock, where they are coached by Marty Walsh. Emily’s arrival to the scene brings drastic changes, as she beats Lauren to be in the top three in the overall rankings.

Their dreams are further plunged into chaos, when their coach Marty leaves the job; their new coach Sasha Belov is a strict disciplinarian, and his arrival heralds a new era at The Rock.

After Emily Kmetko’s arrival in season 1, Payson’s life in the field comes to an abrupt and unforeseen close. However, thanks to Sasha’s motivations, Payson takes up artistic gymnastics and later excels at it.

Season 2 shows the progress of the girls to their actual dream, but is not easy, not even close. Lurid rumors of Sasha having an affair with one of the girls float about, and Kaylie is struck with an eating disorder, which affects her health. Emily has court proceedings to worry about. To make things worse, Coach Sasha leaves mid-way after photographs of him kissing Payson come to the fore.

Questions remain over whether the girls will be able to compete in the Olympic Games. There is unchained ambition on display, with passion and insecurity waiting in the wings. This makes the show pretty much the whole package of a complete entertainer.
