Shrouded by a thick cover of fantasy and mystery, Lost Girl is an out of the ordinary creation. Season one of the show debuted on the Showcase television network on September 12, 2010. It revolves around a succubus called Bo (Anna Silk), who’s not lucky enough to enjoy the warmth and care of motherhood and she grows up, without knowing the immense potential that God had instilled in her. In fact, she’s even oblivious to the ’Fae’ world. Season 1 of the series starts with Bo, possessing an atypical sexual orientation. She has fallen in love with many men and on all occasions, she sucked the life senses out of their bodies. This uncontrollable demon that’s present inside her instigates her to roam here and there like a destiny-less wanderer. In the beginning of the storyline, we see her trying to rein in her powers after knowing the fact that she is different from others. Bo is overtly concerned about her suspense-draped origin. She is unaware about the cause that turned her into something that cannot be called human. However, being brought up among humans, she feels a sense of connection with them. When natives of the Fae world notice her presence, they find it hard to believe that Bo is alien to the Fae world. Fae world is subjected to a unique set of rules. Its residents have segregated themselves into two communities – the Dark and the Light. Both these communities do not think well of humans and completely despise each other. Now Bo has a decision to make; which clan to befriend, in order to move on with her life. She ends up making a shocking decision. Instead of joining any of the clans, she gels with the humans. Now, she is all set to play with fire. Fast-paced screenplay and convincing acting keep the viewers’ interest alive, as the level of suspense and thrill amplifies, unabated. | |||||||||||||||||
