The very successful and critically acclaimed TV show, Lost was launched on 22nd September, 2004. The creator of this show is J.J. Abrams who is well known for his works. The plot starts off when a passenger plane, shuttling from Sydney to Los Angeles, splits apart en route, and falls down on a deserted and isolated Island.

The list of survivors include, Dr. Jack Shepherd (Mathew Fox), a doctor in distress, escapee Kate Austen (Evangeline Lilly); Former rock artist and drug abuser Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan); the inexplicable and cloistered John Locke (Terry O’ Quinn); professional con- man James Ford “Sawyer” (Josh Holloway); Sun (Yunjin Kim), the offspring of an influential businessman and gangster of Korea and her spouse Jin Kwon (Daniel Dae Kim); Hugo "Hurley" Reyes (Jorge Garcia), an ill-fated lottery victor who is the humorous front in the group; brother and sister, not on good terms, Shannon Rutherford and Boone Carlyle (Maggie Grace, Ian Somerhalder); building worker Michael Dawson (Harold Perrineau) and his youthful son, Walt (Malcolm David Kelley); an ex- Republican Guard of Iraq Sayid (Naveen Andrews) and an extremely pregnant Claire Littleton from Australia (Emilie de Raven).
