The American, police TV drama series, Life is the brainchild of Rand Ravich. NBC broadcasted two quite successful seasons of the show. The Universal Media Studios produced the show, with the production being handled by Far Shariat, Daniel Sackheim, David Semel and Rand Ravich.
The show is all about Charlie Crews, enacted by Damian Lewis who is a police detective and has been left off from the Pelican Bay State prison after a dozen years or so spent in jail for a crime he never did and was absolutely innocent.
Actually Charlie Crews was wrongly charged with three murders of his business partners named Tom Seyboldt, and two of his family members in 1995. Now with the persistent work of Constance Griffiths, his attorney, DNA proof claims him innocent and frees him of all the charges. But in Jail, he has lost the sense of time, his wife has left him, his job is no longer with him, all his friends and acquaintances have distanced themselves from him. But the Zen’s philosophy has touched his heart and mind, along with the addiction to consume fresh fruits. He also is fixated with cracking the conspiracy behind the crime, as to who killed the three people and why was he framed for it.
The show was launched on NBC on 26th September, 2007. The network declared on 4th May, 2009 that the show would not be renewed for another season, much to the dismay of the fans.
