Named after the renowned and the rather notorious city of Las Vegas, the show details the lives of different people associated with the fictional Montecito Casino and Resort.

Las Vegas is famous for its casinos, glittering hotels, strip joints and five-star entertainment. But the people behind of all of these services have been rather unknown. And this series takes the viewer on a roller coaster ride through the day-to-day incidents and accidents happening at the Montecito.

Run by a disciplinarian ex-CIA agent, Ed Deline (James Caan), who’s at the helm of security management. Las Vegas showcases the daily issues faced by Ed’s team. His team consists of his assistant in security affairs, the ex-Marine Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel); Danny’s friend Mary Cooper (Nikki Cox), who is in charge of Casino affairs and Ed’s daughter Delinda Deline (Molly Sims), who is the head of a restaurant in the resort.

The show gets off to a bamboozling start with Danny being shown sleeping with Delinda, something that infuriates Ed no end. Season 1 of Las Vegas explains the deep relationships that exist between the characters of the show. Also introduced in the show is the new casino host Sam (Vanessa Marcil).

The past relationship between Danny and his best-friend Mary is also revealed in the first season, whose on-off status continues throughout the season. But Danny also has to handle the attentions of his overbearing boss, Ed, who is angry with him for sleeping with his daughter.

Helping out Danny is the MIT graduate Mike, who is working as a valet in the resort. Danny eventually replaces Ed as the head of security and he also fathers a child with Delinda.

We all have been enamoured by the reputation that Las Vegas carries as a city. But for someone to pierce the reputational barriers, and portray the nitty-gritty affairs and the rigmarole in a platter for the view to watch and enjoy, is the main credit of the show. Las Vegas is a wholly engaging and thrilling TV series that entertains like only the sin city can!
