Knight Rider was one show of its kind, as never before, the concept of a self sustained car that could fight crime, and at times take critical decisions, came to the minds of creators. The series basically revolves around the life of Michael Knight, who has taken up this job of fighting against evil, especially the ones who have escaped law. To help him in his righteous job, he is provided with the Knight Industries Two Thousand (K.I.T.T.).
K.I.T.T. is a computer controlled car, which not only has artificial intelligence, but is also fitted with an incredible arsenal of weapons and defenses. Together Michael and K.I.T.T., with support from the Foundation for Law and Governments’, fought crime and proved that one man could indeed make a difference.
Throughout the series, we see Michael and his car fighting crime, all alone. The concept of a futuristic car that could help in fighting crime, became an instant hit, and was most loved by people. Knight Rider used to air on NBC Network and premiered on 26th September 1982. The series came to an end after running for four seasons.
