The very popular teen drama TV show, Gossip Girl is based upon the famous book series by the same name. “Gossip Girl” is a mysterious blogger and the narrator of the show. She always manages to get the latest scoops about the lives of some rich socialite teens, residing in the Upper East Side of the New York City. The series highlights the lives of these young people, as they tackle issues like money, drugs, sex, love, romance, relationships, friendships, envy etc.

The fun starts with the lead character of the show, Serena van der Woodsen returning home from a boarding school and meeting her one time, close friend, Blair Waldorf and her boyfriend, Nate Archibald at a party, and this is reported by Gossip Girl. The other important characters of the show are Jenny Humphrey, Vanessa Abrams, Chuck Bass, Dan Humphrey, Rufus Humphrey, and Lillian van der Woodsen etc.

Launched on 19th September, 2007, the show is currently running in its second season, with a third season already announced, along with a spin – off, which will focus on the younger days of Serena van der Woodsen’s mother, Lillian van der Woodsen.
