Full House, a name remembered by almost every child born in the 80s, as people were charmed by the innocent Tanner family. Viewers belonging to different age-groups had different reasons to watch Full House. The reasons behind this adulation are just as varied as the cast of the show. The show was all about the Tanner family and their close ones. The family comprised of a single father, Danny (Bob Saget), his 3 daughters, their uncle Jesse (John Stamos). The show took off with a cruel twist of fate, when Danny’s wife was killed in a hit-and-run accident and he was left alone. Danny’s eldest daughter, D.J., became the pillar of support for him as tried to move on in life. The plot advanced as he asked his brother-in-law, Jesse Katsopolis and his pal, Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier), to move in and help raise the girls. This was one of the cornerstones of this pioneering family comedy. The beautiful relationship between Uncle Jesse and his three nieces made for an interesting watch. The story often involved the middle daughter Stephanie, getting into arguments with her father, looking up to Jesse to be the counterfoil to her dad. Uncle Jesse, as he was lovingly referred to, became a second father to the three kids. Loveable Michelle, the youngest of Danny’s daughters was the biggest attraction of the show. Played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Michelle was everybody’s darling, and the creator-in-chief of the mischief in the Tanner family. Full House showcased the struggle of two men, trying to raise three girls, failing miserably at times. Danny’s possessiveness leads to endless arguments with D.J. and Sophie, when the girls were growing up. The camaraderie between the characters of the Tanner family, the three girls and their Uncle Jesse made this show popular among its viewers. Though long gone, it left an everlasting impression on its viewers, who were kids back then but still remember the show. | |||||||||||||||||
