But the things did not turn out in his favour. Soon, he opts to return to a town named Shelby in North Carolina. This place is his hometown, and he takes up the job of a physical education teacher to earn his bread and butter.

Struggling in his personal life, he is on the lookout for means to help him improve his current situation and help him chase his dreams yet again. All of this is augmented with sprinkles of comedy, and packed with loads of drama. Eastbound and Down is one show that is sure to tickle your funny bone with its enticingly alluring storyline.

The character of Kenny Powers is inspired by the former American major league Baseball relief pitcher, John Rocker. Another interesting thing to note here is that Kenny Power’s hairstyle is also an imitation of the way that John Rocker styles his hair.
