CSI: NY is a police procedural drama, which has evolved with a motive to eradicate the crimes of New York City, over the span of few years. The show is created by Anthony E. Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue. CSI NY is the offshoot of CSI: Miami as well as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Since September 22, 2004, the series depicts the sequence of investigations, undertaken by the squad of NYPD forensic scientists and cops, in order to divulge the conditions, following inexplicable and strange fatalities along with additional offenses.

Since season 1, the show has entertained viewers with numerous spine-chilling cases. In the pilot episode, the squad encounters a case where parents of a teen girl are found viciously murdered. Therefore, the character from CSI Miami, Horatio Caine arrives to New York in order to track the killer. And with the support of Detective Mac Taylor, a New York Detective, he tries to hunt down the murderer.

CSI: NY is a show, which solves complicated murder mysteries. In the first episode only, the team cracks a case where they don’t have any clue except a girl, who can’t speak. Her only ability to blink, leads the team to the killer. That’s not the end. Even, the team takes the pain to solve the mystery with the remains of the deceased body. Though the show is an incredible piece of fiction, it provides the picture of the actual crime, which occurs in our daily lives. The show depicts the case of murders, rapes, abductions, theft and many more. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that it deals with every kind of crime.

This show’s description is not complete without the mention of its talented actors. Gary Sinise plays the role of Mac Taylor, who’s the head of the investigation team. He’s living a disturbed life as he lost his wife in 9/11 tragedy. The character of Josephine (Jo) Danville is played by Sela Ward, who basically deals with DNA verifications.

The role of former baseball player and musician Danny Messer is executed by Carmine Giovinazzo. Anna Belknap portrays as Lindsay Monroe. She was initially associated with CSI Miami, but then, she shifted to New York, in order to give a new direction to her career.
