There is no other stage that depicts the art of street dancing, better than America's Best Dance Crew. Its first season aired in February, 2008; and the show has completed many successful runs since its inception. The show invites dance crews from all over America, and welcomes them to show their skills. In return, every crew gets a shot at fame, glory, and last but not the least, money; which is a mouth-watering $100000. The show is the brainchild of Randy Jackson, who also judges the very popular television reality show, American Idol. The stage is handled by Mario Lopez, who himself is a maverick dancer. He has proved his mettle in Dancing With the Stars. The show participants have to survive the challenges, given by the judges. The challenges are usually same in their essence, but different in totality. This is followed by the elimination round, in which the two lowest scoring dance groups sweat it out, to reserve their place in the safe zone. The show prides itself for some distinguishing aspects, out of which crew banner is the most prominent one. The banner contains the logo of the crew, used as merchandising material and for promotional purposes. When a crew looses in the elimination round, its banner becomes obsolete; and falls off the stadium where the event is hosted. Lil Mama, JC Chasez and Dominic "D-Trix" Sandoval are the judges for season six of the cult dance show, which follows a completely diverse format. In this season, participants have to battle it out on the songs of celebrated artists like Justin Bieber, The Black Eyed Peas, Kesha and other artists of the same league. The artists honor the stage with special appearances, to raise the spirits of the participants. The show is religiously followed by dancers all over the world, and is revered widely. | |||||||||||||||||
